Community Garden Project
Note: Unfortunately we had to cancel this project due to low sign-up numbers. We will explore maybe offering it again in Spring 2027.

Who: Open to ALL 4-H PEI members ages 9-21 as of Jan. 1, 2027. Cloverbuds are welcome to attend as well if accompanied by an adult, but it won't count as a project for them.
When: Tuesday, July 21, 2026 - 5:00pm-8:00pm
Where: Summerset Manor, 15 Frank Mellish Street, Summerside
Project Description:
Help plant a pollinator garden courtyard for residents at Summerset Manor in Summerside! Participants, alongside the residents of the manor, will learn proper planting techniques, plant spacing, garden design, and invasive species removal. Throughout the workshop, you'll learn to identify native plants and pollinator garden species and receive a guidebook to help you plan and plant your own garden at home. The planting day will create pollinator habitat in Summerside and will be enjoyed and appreciated by the residents of Summerset Manor!
Project Completion: Members must attend the 3 hour session, plus complete a homework assignment. This project will count for the 2026/27 4-H Year!
Registration Fee: Free
Registration Deadline: Closed.
Minimum Registration: 10 members.
