4-H PEI Equine Projects Committee Events​


PONY PARTY!

What: Fun day of equine education, games, and painting! 
When: Sunday, March 8, 2026
Time: 9:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 
Activities: Paint Your Pony with East Coast Art Party, make DIY horse treats, equine welfare info session, and various games. This is a great opportunity to meet new 4-H friends who share your love equines! There will be no animals at this event so members do not need an animal to participate. 
Where: Hunter River Community Centre, 19816 Route 2
Who: Open to 4-H PEI members (ages 9-21 as of Jan. 1) and equine project leaders. 
Min/Max # participants: Minimum of 10 participants for the event to take place. Maximum of 30 spots for 4-H members, and 10 spots for equine project leaders. 
What to bring: Water bottle.

Lunch and snacks will be provided. 

Registration fee: $50/participate. E-transfer this fee to [email protected] and put name of participate + "pony party" in the memo. 

Registration Deadline: Thursday, February 19th, 2026 (link to registration form below).

****Please be prepared to submit a photo of your equine (i.e. pony, horse, donkey, or mule) that you wish to paint when you complete the registration form. The artists need this to prepare for the session. If you do not own an equine you can use any image of an equine you would like to paint. 

Spots will be awarded on a first come basis and registration is not considered complete until both the form and fee is received by the 4-H office.

Who: All Island youth ages 9 to 21 (as of Jan.1, 2027)
Disciplines: Western & English Riding, Driving, and In Hand.
