4-H PEI Explore Livestock Showmanship Day
4-H members are invited to come try their hands at showing a variety of animals under the guidance of experienced livestock showpeople!
Where: Crapaud Agriplex, 20569 Trans-Canada Hwy
When: Sunday, May 31, 2026 - 9:45 a.m. arrival / 10:00 a.m. start / 1:45 p.m. end
Who: 4-H PEI Members—Ages 9-21 (as of Jan. 1, 2026)
The six livestock sessions that will be offered are:
Members will participant in three of these sessions. When you RSVP you will be asked to rank your preference of sessions. An effort will be made by organizers to accommodate members preferences when assigning participants to groups, but can't guarantee members will get to participate in all their top picks.
There will also be a dog showmanship demonstration courtesy of Dominica McCutcheon!
Lunch will be provided (pizza!) as well as snacks.
What to bring/wear: Water bottle, dress for the weather, and shoes/boots with closed toes (no sandals). Protective gloves are also recommended (i.e. work gloves, gardening gloves, or riding gloves).
